What are Karen Lazar Design bracelets made of?
The classic yellow gold and rose gold beads are Gold Filled. In English, "gold filled" translates to "relleno de oro," but it does not mean that it is filled with gold on the inside; rather, it means it has a much thicker outer layer of gold than gold-plated items.
What are the bracelets and rings strung on?
The bracelets are strung on a delicate and exclusive elastic cord. Each piece is carefully manufactured with the ideal cord according to the size of the bead, the gem, and the desired fit.
How do I know my bracelet size?
We offer 3 different sizes to ensure the best fit (Small- Medium-Large). For reference, our most common and best-selling size is Medium, which fits a small wrist.
To ensure you order the correct bracelet size, please refer to our size guide.
How do I know my ring size?
Our rings fit true to size in terms of average ring size.
If you are between sizes, we suggest choosing the larger size, as our beads are strung on elastic.
Will the bracelets tarnish?
Gold-filled and rose gold beaded bracelets do not tarnish, so you can swim, shower, sweat, and live all the adventures you want.
Sterling silver jewelry, due to its nature, will oxidize over time. Therefore, skin oils and acids, as well as exposure to chemicals like chlorine, will accelerate oxidation. We always recommend cleaning sterling silver the same way you would treat your sterling silver items.
Will the bracelets stretch?
The jewelry is made prioritizing durability. If you put them on and take them off carefully, bead by bead, they will maintain their size!
We like to say that these pieces of jewelry are designed to be a second skin, so keeping them on at all times truly extends their lifespan.
That said, wrists swell from time to time, and with that, the bracelets might stretch slightly.
To ensure the longest lifespan for your pieces, we recommend the following:
Make sure to roll the bracelets onto your wrist. This means following the direction of your hand at all times and never stretching the bracelet beyond the widest part of your knuckles. Imagine the movement from thumb to pinky finger!
Do your best to avoid exposing your sterling silver pieces to harsh chemicals.
Clean your pieces! Like all solid gold pieces, your 14k gold-filled jewelry deserves an extra shine every now and then. A good polish or our favorite mixture of Dawn dish soap and warm water will make your pieces look like new!
